Be prepared with everything you need before bringing a kitten home.

Include  food and water bowl,  litter box and toys.

Using a litter box is almost instinctual for a kitten, but pay attention where your kitten is drawn and consider putting a box there.

When you first have your kitten at home, show it where the litter box,  food and water are.

Limit their access at first to the room where their litter box is.

Expand their access slowly and let them explore.

Play with your kitten several times a day.

Choose interactive toys that closely mimic the hunt.
